Ragalyi Heritage Hello! You have a great site, and I was very excited to see my paternal surname listed, although I don't know exactly what my connection would be to the Ragalyi's listed here. My cousin and I have been researching our grandparents that came to US in 1900's. It is fascinating to discover they came from the Ragaly village and that our surname has a coat of arms! Keep up the good work, and I'll be checking periodically for more Ragalyi connections! I'll be happy to provide you with my Ragalyi geneology back about 150 years to the village, if you'd like. Blessings, Frances

Interesting name story If only the walls (or swamps in this case) from hundreds of years ago could talk. We would all learn so much about our family history. I am not Hungarian, but my maiden name has a colorful history as well, so I can relate.

Love to know more about the family. Hi. I´m from Brasil and a part of one of the two Nadas Families in this country. I would like to know more about our family trees and if we have a symbol (armas in Spanish or "Brazão" in Portuguese, which I speak). Please send mail, so we could know more about the Hungarian Nadas family out of Hungary. Thank you. Cathy

Reply: I am sorry, but the family does not have a coat of arms. The Nadas family name is not associated with nobility in Hungary. Our family did not take up this name until 1890. Our name originally was Neiger and we came from France.
