Merry Christmas from the Nadas Family

Kellemes Űnnepeket kivánunk

Gyuszi a.k.a. Julius (jnadas@ccc.edu) recently received official notification which said that he is eligible to retire as early as his next birthday, but when asked for his thoughts on the subject responded - "no, I'm still having too much fun!" - and it shows. His enthusiasm for his day to day activities is contagious, and he is a fount of good advice to those around him. It's a pleasure to be around someone who is having fun. The greatest thing is to see him with the newest family member (see below).

Erika (enadas@worldnet.att.net) was given a surprise 50th birthday party (100 guests, wow!) and must be having a mid-life crisis - she changed careers. In response to Gyuszi's desperate cry in the wilderness looking for part-time daytime teachers for the introduction to microcomputers class, this silly person said "even I could teach that." So that's how it happened. Guess what! She loves it. Lots of work, though, creating a course, teaching with no training or experience. But lots of fun seeing the students (aged 17-75) learn, and the second semester was easier than the first.

Krisztina (knadas@imsa.edu) and Scott (tobytoes@hotmail.com) brought about the greatest change in all our lives. They brought into the world a lovely son, Zoltan Tobias on June 2. He is, by far, the most newsworthy event of the year. This child is obviously well loved. He's responsive and smiley to everyone, and is calm and able to cope with change (a good characteristic in the son of a naval officer whose career will have them moving every few years). Krisztina and Scott are great parents, and are very happy with their lives. January will find them in San Diego.

Gyula a.k.a. Jay (gnadas@earthlink.com) has surprised even himself as to how much fun it is to study when you are interested and have a goal. After working for a year at Walgreen's corporate office in quality control (and being quite successful and happy at that), he started Pharmacy school in the fall. He is working hard, but is really excited about the direction his life is going. He is active in student life - as a student/faculty liaison. He's been dating the same girl (Kerry O'Brien) for over two years now, and that stability has also been good.

Zsolt (nadas@uiuc.edu) is at the University of Illinois school of engineering majoring in computer science (what else) and possibly double majoring in psychology. He, also, is active in student life as vice president of his dorm and on the student judiciary committee. College life seems to agree with him, and a student body of 60,000 doesn't daunt him.

Tas (tjnadas@hotmail.com) is in the process of applying to high schools. There are several for which he is taking entrance exams. Sometime in January/February we will have a better idea of what next year will hold. Note: he has made his mother the smallest in the family now, and in fact may already be taller than Krisztina also.

Peace and joy to all. The Nadas Family
