This Club consists of professors who have received a distinguished service award at Wright College.
The award has changed a lot in the years since it was first awarded back in 1987. We no longer have a special room on the top floor of the old district office at 226 West Jackson Blvd that was created to honor distinguished professors.  We are also not being given a distinctive blue and white graduation gown or an engraved distinguished professor chair like I have in my office. We don’t even have any idea how long it will be before we can see our names on a plaque in the main office. 

Here is the list of recipients that I have maintained over the years. I have been employed by Wright College far longer than the distinguished professor award has been around.  They even put a special box for me to check on the annual residency form saying that I am not required to live in the city because I was hired prior to 1977. The numbers in the parentheses after some of the names are the employee numbers that I knew.  These were assigned in 1966 starting at the number 0001 when the Chicago Junior Colleges left CPS and became the City Colleges of Chicago.
